AZGOPLD24 2012 Election Results

As you may know, I was not re-elected as your Secretary. I wanted to say thanks for allowing me to serve you during the previous election cycles.  Below is the results from last night's election.  Please note that the previous Facebook and Twitter accounts for AZGOPLD24 have been deactivated.  All AZGOPLD24.org email accounts will be deactivated today as of 6pm, MST-AZ.  The web site (http://www.AZGOPLD24.org) used by AZGOPLD24 has also been changed.  The domain name and web hosting was purchased by me without outside contributions.  I also managed the site as well as Facebook, Twitter and other social media tools used by LD24.  The new leadership may decide to have a new web site etc.  I will maintain AZGOPLD24.org for now.  It has been changed and only contains basic information.

This is my last post as the Secretary.

2012 LD24 Election Meeting Notice & Proxy

To all newly elected Precinct Committeemen:

A reminder that our regular monthly meeting of November 15 has been rescheduled to coincide with our Organization Meeting.

Our Organization Meeting for Legislative District 24 will be held on November 29 at 7:00 p.m. at the State Republican Headquarters 3501 North 24th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85016.

At this meeting, we will elect our District officers for the next two years, our Precinct Captains and nominate our State Committeemen.

Anyone who wishes to have their name printed on the ballot as a candidate for an officer position must submit their name to the Nominating Committee in care of Joe Abate, the Nominations Chairman. (Each candidate for district officer shall have a maximum of three minutes for nominating and/or seconding speeches.)

Anyone willing to serve as a State Committeeman will also need to submit their name to the Nominating Committee, in care of Joe Abate, the Nominations Chairman.

The deadline Joe to RECEIVE the nomination notification so your name can be printed on the ballot is November 15, 2012 at 11:59pm (per bylaws). NO EXCEPTIONS! Floor nominations will be taken.

I would expect this meeting to be VERY busy, and I am sure you will want to get this meeting completed in a fast but efficient manner so PLEASE be on time so we can get the credentialing done and ballots handed out smoothly. Remember to bring your ID and any proxies! With all the challenges facing our district, our state and our nation, we need to re-commit ourselves to the founding principles of our founding fathers.

Kaufman 2012 - ELECTION TOMORROW‏

Hello all,

As you must be aware, the election is tomorrow!  At this point I primarily need help calling Republicans to get out the vote.  We will be at my house all day tomorrow making phone calls.  Starting at 9am and going through probably 6:45pm.  If you'd like to join at my house I will have coffee, soda, and a selection of cookies, candy, and chips.  If you would like to call from home for a while tomorrow let me know.  I have a handy web app on my website to call from, or I can e-mail you a list.  If you still feel like walking door-to-door, I can give you a list of Republican early ballots in your precinct that aren't in yet.  You can try to visit them tonight and tomorrow to get them to vote!

Remember that getting Republicans out to vote helps all Republican candidates, so if you come call for me you will also be helping Flake, Parker, etc.  I also can give you lists for only CD9 if you specifically want to help out Vernon Parker, or for the Biltmore-Arcadia justice precinct if you want to specifically help out Roger Pongratz.

I could also use help putting up yard signs at the polling locations.  If you have a couple signs you can put up at your polling place let me know which one so I can mark it down.  If you'd be willing to come by and get some signs and put them up at a few polling locations that would be very helpful.  E-mail me back asap.

FINAL WEEKEND GOTV‏

This is the final weekend before the election, it’s all hands on deck time!  We will be holding almost constant GOTV  walking and calling at my house starting Saturday morning and going through election day.  Please come over and help us walk or call at the times listed below in bold.  Any time you can give is extremely valuable.  If you can come late and make a few phone calls DO IT!  If you want to make calls from home I can give you a list and a script to follow, just let me know!  If you know people that can help, even out of district or out of state, forward this e-mail or get a list from me and give it to them.

For purposes of calling, if you can bring a laptop that will help.  I do have a couple extra computers to pull up numbers.

Coffee and other refreshments will be provided at all times.
